Esc (Test)

Composed of four glazed ceramic tiles, this piece was a trial run using the raised line technique.

"This was my first ever attempt at the raised line technique. This is achieved by carving out the lines on linoleum sheets, pressing clay into the sheets so the clay fills the negative areas, then releasing the clay to produce the raised lines. I then glaze in between the lines. This is a meticulous process but the result is very satisfying."
